POST 1: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
VACANCY NO: 17 of 2024/25
TYPE & GRADE: FIVE (5) YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT, EXECUTIVE LEVEL
LOCATION: CAPE TOWN
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements:
- NQF Level 9 or equivalent qualification in Finance/Commerce/Accounting
- Professional registration as a CA(SA) or CIMA
- 15 years’ experience in a similar position with 10 years’ senior management experience of which 5 years is at an Executive level.
- 5 years’ experience in a similar environment (including audit).
- Knowledge of the PFMA and National Treasury Regulations and Government Prescripts and King IV.
- Knowledge of procedures and statutory requirements applicable to section 3(A) entities.
- Knowledge of governance, risk and organisational performance management principles.
- Knowledge of the higher education sector is advantageous.
- Extensive experience in senior financial managerial roles, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
POST 2: SENIOR MANAGER BRANDS & EVENTS
VACANCY NO: 19 of 2024/25
TYPE & GRADE: PERMANENT, D3
LOCATION: CAPE TOWN
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements:
- NQF Level 7 qualification in eMarketing, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Management or related fields
- Computer literacy – Advanced MS Package Suite
- Driver’s License
- At least 7-8 years’ experience in a similar environment with at least 5 years’ experience in a managerial role
- At least 5 years plus proven experience in writing, editing, brand management, projects and campaigns and social media space
- Solid experience with crafting of marketing strategies and marketing plans
- Solid experience with brand management, brand equity as well as digital campaigns
POST 3: CHIEF INTERNAL AUDITOR
VACANCY NO: 20 of 2024/25
TYPE & GRADE: FIVE (5) YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT, EXECUTIVE LEVEL
LOCATION: CAPE TOWN
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements:
- NQF 8 Audit Qualification and a recognised audit-related professional qualification (i.e., CIA, or CA(SA))
- Computer literacy – Intermediate MS Package Suite
- Knowledge of PFMA and Public Entity standards
- Knowledge of the Higher Education sector, the NSFAS Act, NCA and the PFMA.
- Middle management experience with multiple teams
- 15 years’ experience in Internal Audit Management of which 5 years must be at the senior management level.
- Registration with a professional body essential
- Knowledge of governance, risk, and organisational performance management principles.
- Experience in liaising with various stakeholders
- Knowledge of Higher Education policy imperatives and development requirements.
- Experience in managing a unit and/or department.
- Experience in developing a public sector strategy and business plan.
- Experience in a public institution or funding organisation or banking institution.
- Experience in policy development and implementation
POST 4: SENIOR MANAGER: LOAN BOOK
VACANCY NO: 18 of 2024/25
TYPE & GRADE: PERMANENT, D3
LOCATION: CAPE TOWN
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements:
- NQF Level 8 qualification in Finance/Commerce/Accounting
- Professional registration as a CA(SA) or CIMA
- At least 8 years’ experience within creditors/loans portfolio environment
- 3-5 years’ experience in a Senior Management role
- Extensive knowledge and experience in huge data analysis and management
- Thorough knowledge of the NCA and NCR requirements, PFMA, POPI Act and Prescription Act.
- Knowledge and exposure to technical accounting and financial instruments, (i.e. GRAP 104) and
- Knowledge of Advanced Financial Modelling
- Exposure to Actuarial valuations management, (i.e. pension fund, medical aid, loan book, etc.)
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
