POST 1: CHIEF ENGINEER

REFERENCE NUMBER: 080324/01

CENTRE: PRETORIA HEAD OFFICE

QUALIFICATION

• An Engineering Degree (B Eng/BSc (Eng) or relevant qualification.
• Six (6) years post qualification experience.
• Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer.
• The disclosure of a valid unexpired driver’s license.
• Relevant years’ experience in the field of Water Engineering or Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM).

POST 2: CONTROL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST (CIVIL) (X3 POSTS)

REFERENCE NUMBER: 080324/02

CENTRE: PRETORIA HEAD OFFICE

QUALIFICATION

• A Bachelor of Technology in Engineering (B-Tech) or relevant Engineering qualification.
• Six (6) years’ post qualification Engineering Technologist experience required.
• Compulsory registration with Engineering Council of South African (ECSA) as a Professional Engineering Technologist.
• The disclosure of a valid unexpired driver’s license

POST 3: ENGINEER PRODUCTION

QUALIFICATION

• A Civil Engineering Degree (B Eng/ BSc (Eng).
• Three (3) years post qualification Engineering experience required.
• Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer.
• The disclosure of a valid unexpired driver’s license.
• Three (3) years’ experience in the municipal water supply and sanitation services industry will be an added advantage

 

 

POST 4: ENGINEER PRODUCTION

QUALIFICATION

• A Civil Engineering Degree (B Eng/ BSc (Eng).
• Three (3) years post qualification Engineering experience required.
• Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer.
• The disclosure of a valid unexpired driver’s license.
• Management experience in field of Water Engineering or Water Resource will be an added advantage

POST 5: CONTROL ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER

REFERENCE NUMBER: 080324/05

CENTRE: HARTBEESPOORT

QUALIFICATION

• A four (4) year Degree in Natural or Environmental Sciences or equivalent qualification.
• Six years post-qualification experience in the fields of environmental, waste management, industries, rural and urban development.
• The disclosure of a valid unexpired driver’s license.
• Understanding of the Department’s role and policy with respect to water resource management

POST 6: CONTROL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN X2 POSTS

QUALIFICATION

• A National Diploma in Engineering or relevant qualification.
• Six (6) years post qualification technical engineering experience.
• Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineering Technician.
• The disclosure of a valid unexpired driver’s license.
• Project Management and Contract Management

POST 7: CONTROL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN X2 POSTS

QUALIFICATION

• A National Diploma in Engineering or relevant qualification.
• Six (6) years post qualification technical engineering experience in either Hydrology, Water Resources Management, Water Engineering and/or Geohydrology.
• Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineering Technician.
• The disclosure of a valid unexpired driver’s license

 

 

POST 8: SCIENTIST TECHNICIAN PRODUCTION X2 POSTS

QUALIFICATION

• A National Diploma in Science or relevant qualification.
• Three (3) years post qualification technical (scientific) experience.
• Compulsory registration with SACNASP as a Certificated Natural Scientist.

POST 9: ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN PRODUCTION X2 POSTS

QUALIFICATION

• A National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Three (3) years post qualification technical engineering experience.

POST 10: ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN PRODUCTION

• A National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Three (3) years post qualification technical engineering experience.

POST 11: ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

QUALIFICATION

• A National Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Three (3) years post qualification technical engineering experience.
• Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineering Technician.

POST 12: ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER PRODUCTION

QUALIFICATION

• A National Diploma in Environmental Management or Natural Sciences.
• Experience in water services management or regulation will be an added advantage.
• The disclosure of a valid unexpired driver’s license.
• Computer skills (MS Office).
• Good presentation and communication skills.

POST 13: ARTISAN FOREMAN CIVIL X2 POSTS

• A Civil trade test certificate.
• Five (5) years post qualification experience as an Artisan.

• An Electrical trade test certificate.
• Five (5) years post qualification experience as an Artisan.
