Minimum Requirements (Read This Carefully)
You must meet all the following to be considered:
Education
- Grade 12 with:
- Mathematics (Core)
- Physical Science
- Engineering Graphics & Design (EGD)
Assessments
- Must pass a Technical Assessment, including:
- Numeracy
- Literacy
Health & Fitness
- Good physical health
- Willing to undergo a medical examination
- Able to perform strenuous mechanical work
Licensing
- Valid Code EB (08) driver’s licence
Residency
- Must live within a 50km radius of the workshop you apply to
Added Advantages (These Strengthen Your Application)
You’ll be more competitive if you have one or more of the following:
- Grade 12 Mechanical Technology
- N2 Diesel or Motor Trade Theory
- NCV Level 4 Engineering Related Design (Automotive – 7 subjects)
- Previous engineering or workshop experience
- Completed basic hand skills training
- Valid passport (future exposure opportunities)
