POST 2: SPACE PLANNER – SELLING

POST 3: DATA STEWARD

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Technical Competence:

  • Relevant qualification, i.e. B.Com or equivalent
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Advanced Excel
  • Good understanding of Data Modelling & Data Warehousing concepts
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience in data analysis
  • BI Visualization tools (i.e. QlikSense) experience preferable
  • Ability to work with large data sets and experience with integrating many data sources for reporting and analysis purposes
  • Strong understanding of and sensitivity towards data integrity and cleanliness
  • Understanding of processes and the systems development life cycle
  • 3-5 years’ experience related to the above requirements

  • B Tertiary diploma/degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years Buying/Retail experience
  • Commercial skills & experience within the Horticulture industry – knowledge of store operations, customer profiles, locations & competitors
  • Proven sourcing and supplier management experience.
  • Strong negotiation and financial management skills
  • Proactive & Innovative with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Has an intimate understanding of who the customer is and the ability to view the world through their eyes
  • Strong understanding of global & seasonal trends relating to colour / décor & homeware
  • Consistently makes logical deductions from given information and uses these to transform the department
  • Is able to consistently convey information clearly and confidently when interacting with teams
  • Consistently drives the creation and development of products, services, and experiences that are convenient and innovative for our customers

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • BSc Consumer Science or Culinary qualification is mandatory
  • 5 years foods product development or related foods experience
  • Strong culinary and food preparation skills
  • A superior palate and sensor evaluation skills
  • A superior eye for detail and product flair is essential
  • Ability to analyse data, interpret and drive innovation strategy across category
  • Understanding of retail, foods & lifestyle trends and target market & range segmentation

  • Managed at least 5 similar transformational business projects through the complete project management lifecycle
  • Proven track record of delivering business application and infrastructure projects
  • Relevant retail industry experience an advantage
  • Sustainability knowledge and experience an advantage
