Rand Water, Africa’s largest water utility, continues to demonstrate its commitment to youth empowerment and skills development through its Graduate Development Programme (GDP). This initiative is designed to equip unemployed graduates with practical workplace experience, preparing them for meaningful careers within the water sector and beyond. For young South Africans eager to contribute to sustainable development while building their careers, this programme offers a golden opportunity.
Why the Rand Water Graduate Development Programme?
The GDP bridges the gap between academic learning and the demands of the professional environment. While universities and colleges provide the theoretical foundation, Rand Water ensures that graduates receive real-world exposure by integrating them into its dynamic workplace. Participants benefit from structured mentorship, training, and practical assignments that align with their fields of study.
The programme reflects Rand Water’s broader mission of supporting transformation and addressing the country’s high youth unemployment rate. It not only empowers graduates with essential skills but also builds a pipeline of young professionals who can contribute to South Africa’s infrastructure and service delivery challenges.
