WHY THIS PROGRAMME MATTERS:
South Africa’s youth unemployment remains alarmingly high, particularly among graduates lacking work experience. This international skills development programme helps bridge that gap by equipping young South Africans with globally competitive skills and practical experience. Upon returning home, participants are better positioned to enter the workforce, drive innovation in their sectors, and even become entrepreneurs within the retail space.
Furthermore, this initiative supports South Africa’s National Development Plan by promoting international partnerships, enhancing skills mobility, and strengthening the TVET sector.
Empowering Youth for a Changing Retail Landscape
As the world rapidly shifts toward digital commerce, international trade, and omni-channel retail strategies, programmes like this are not just beneficial—they are necessary. The collaboration between CJC, CCIEEC, and W&RSETA represents a forward-thinking approach to education and training, one that prepares South Africa’s youth for success on the global stage.
This international internship is not just a training opportunity—it is an open door to the world.
