The City of Johannesburg Transport Department has published a vacancy for students to undergo on-the-job exposure, as a pre-requisite to acquire an academic qualification or as a requirement after the acquisition of academic qualification to obtain experiential training.

The city is committed to providing work-based training for students.

  • This Vacancy is open to all qualifying STUDENTS in the Johannesburg community for a period not exceeding 18 Months.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12/ NQF level 4
  • Diploma in Transport Management/ Diploma in Administration Mgt (NQF level 6)
  • Confirmation letter from an institution.
  • Computer literate in all Microsoft Office Applications – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ages between 18 – 35 years; and
  • Only City of Joburg residents will be considered

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Assisting the staff with general office duties including, but not limited to, research, data entry, filing and general coordination.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Assist in the general administration work for Directorate.
  • Submit administration work performed on applications.

LEADING COMPETENCIES:

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Computer Literacy, Excellent Communication and Organising skills.
