Academic Requirements

Applicants must have one of the following:

Option 1

  • Grade 12 with:
    • Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy)
    • Physical Science
    • English
    • Minimum 40% pass in all subjects

Option 2

  • N2 Engineering qualification relevant to the trade

Option 3

  • NCV Level 3 qualification with:
    • Mathematics
    • Relevant engineering subjects
    • Minimum 40% pass

Additional Requirements

Applicants must also meet the following conditions:

  • Ability to travel to training centre in Randfontein
  • Willingness to work at Venetia Mine
  • Ability to obtain Red Ticket medical fitness certificate
  • Must pass SAPS criminal background check
  • Must pass psychometric and technical assessments
  • Must submit proof of residence

For unemployed applicants (Section 18.2), priority is given to individuals from:

  • Musina Municipality
  • Blouberg Municipality

Applicants must provide an official letter from the Municipality or Tribal Council confirming they are residents of the area.
