The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) invites qualified and ambitious South African graduates to apply for its Graduate Internship Programmes in several exciting fields. This initiative provides valuable exposure and experience in a dynamic regulatory environment, empowering young professionals to build strong foundations for their future careers.

Available Internship Opportunities

  1. Corporate Disclosure and Compliance Regulation Internships (X3)
    Duties: Assist in assessing company disclosures, verifying compliance with statutory regulations, and maintaining corporate governance data.
    Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in Law, Corporate Governance, Compliance, or Business Management.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and knowledge of the Companies Act is advantageous.

 

  1. Facilities Management Internship (X1)
    Duties: Support in maintaining office infrastructure, assist with logistics coordination, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
    Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in Facilities Management, Public Administration, or Building Management.
  • Good organizational and project coordination skills.

 

  1. Innovation and Collaboration Internship (X2)
    Duties: Research and assist in implementing innovation projects, foster collaboration initiatives, and support digital transformation strategies.
    Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in Innovation Management, Business Development, or Information Technology.
  • Strong creativity, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities.

 

 

  1. Finance Internship (X4)
    Duties: Assist with financial reporting, budget reconciliation, auditing support, and daily finance operations.
    Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Auditing.
  • Basic knowledge of financial systems such as SAP will be an advantage.

 

  1. Call Centre Internships
  • Quality Assurer Intern (X1): Evaluate agent performance, analyze feedback, and ensure service excellence.
  • Call Centre Agent Interns (X2): Handle customer inquiries, resolve queries, and ensure high-quality customer engagement.
    Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in Customer Service, Business Administration, Communication, or Marketing.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills.

 

  1. Strategic Communication Internship (X2)
    Duties: Assist with drafting internal and external communication materials, content creation for media, and stakeholder engagement.
    Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in Public Relations, Communication, Journalism, or Marketing.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.

 

  1. Health, Safety, and Environment Internship (X1)
    Duties: Support the implementation of health and safety policies, monitor compliance, and maintain safety records.
    Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or Risk Management.
  • Strong attention to safety protocols and environmental awareness.

Beneficiaries of the Programme

The CIPC Graduate Internship Programme is aimed at:

  • Unemployed South African graduates from higher education institutions who have completed their degrees or diplomas.
  • Graduates who have not been exposed to any work experience or previous internship programme.
  • Applicants must be aged between 18 and 35 years old.

Remuneration

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R12,000.00 for the duration of the programme. Interns will also be required to sign a Graduate Internship Programme Agreement with the CIPC.
