Job Purpose
The primary role of the Infra Worker is to ensure reliable duty by assisting RNC Construction teams during maintenance and construction projects. Successful candidates will help make sure that all work is completed efficiently, safely, and effectively while performing general worker duties.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies Required
To qualify, applicants must demonstrate the following:
- Minimum Grade 9 and/or 6 months relevant work experience.
- Must be physically fit (medical examination required).
- Be alert and safety conscious.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Willingness to work under adverse weather conditions.
- Must be prepared to work extended hours on short notice.
- Willingness to relocate or work outside designated depots.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Strong focus on health and safety practices.
- Must be able to work on noiseless environmental areas.
Key Accountabilities
As an Infra Worker, daily tasks will include:
- Carrying out duties as set out by the Supervisor/Team Leader.
- Maintaining punctuality and sober habits.
- Handling, loading, and offloading material.
- Cleaning work sites by removing weeds, stacking materials, sweeping, disposing of rubble, and maintaining general cleanliness.
- Operating hand tools (non-mechanised) safely in a construction environment.
- Cleaning and maintaining tools.
