Fasset Bursary Programme for 2025 & 2026

The Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education & Training Authority (Fasset) is proud to offer the Employed Learner Bursary Programme to support employees in the Fasset sector to upskill in scarce and critical skill areas. Targeted at working individuals already employed within registered Fasset organisations, this bursary supports part-time study leading to nationally recognised qualifications.

Who is it for?

This dedicated bursary is open only to individuals currently employed by registered Fasset employers. It aims to enhance their expertise in areas vital to the sector, such as:

  • Finance, Accounting & Auditing
  • Information Technology and related critical skills
  • Economics, Actuarial Science, Management, Statistics and more

What’s covered?

  • Tuition fees and prescribed textbooks only — other expenses such as accommodation or meal allowances are not included
  • Funding capped at R50 000 per learner per academic year

For comparison, the unemployed learner bursary offered as part of broader Fasset funding covers tuition, textbooks, meal and accommodation, up to R100 000 for university studies or R40 000 for TVET students. The employed scheme is more limited in funding but tailored for working professionals.
