POSTS: ARTISAN PAINTER: WORKSHOP (GRADE A) REF NO: 2025/07 (X2 POSTS)
- Salary: R230 898 per annum, (OSD Salary package)
- Centre: Cape Town Regional Office
REQUIREMENTS:
- Appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Painting.
- A valid driver`s License.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act 85, of 1993 and Regulations.
- It is expected of an official to have a general knowledge to their respective Trades.
- Must have General knowledge of tools, equipment and machinery in the workshop
DUTIES:
- The successful candidate must be able to compile material quantities per project, will be required to maintain all Government Buildings including new work to buildings,
- Must be willing to work overtime if and when required, and compile progress reports on projects and monitor Artisan assistants and Learners.
- Report directly to Artisan Superintendent.
- Must have vast knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993.
- It will be expected of the incumbent to participate in various expeditions including other Islands (Marion, Gough & Antarctica) & Robben Island.
- The successful candidate must be prepared to climb ladders for inspection, work in confined spaces, dust, heights and excessive heat.
