KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Department of Social Development in partnership with the Health and Welfare Sector Education and Training Authority is contributing towards skills development initiatives for the youth in the province by providing opportunities to unemployed students to gain workplace experience in various work disciplines.
Applications are invited from suitably qualifying unemployed graduates to participate in the Internship Programme that will run for a period of 12 months contract. This opportunity will provide them with valuable work experience and increase their prospects towards employment. The Interns from Universities and University of technologies will receive a monthly stipend of R6000 and graduates from TVET Colleges will receive a stipend of R5 000
Candidates must be unemployed graduates residing in KwaZulu-Natal. Unemployed graduates must have completed tertiary qualifications (certificated through graduation) which is a three-year (3) Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma from a recognized University or College and have never participated in an Internship Programme from National, Provincial and Local government before.
They must be prepared to relocate to any of the offices listed below at own costs. Candidates must be computer literate, prepared to undergo a selection process that will include a structured interview.
HOW TO APPLY:
Applications must be on a fully completed Z83 form obtainable here with a detailed CV including contact telephone number, physical and postal address, copies of ID and qualifications including N6 Certificate(not statement of results), proof of residence and an affidavit indicating that the applicant has never benefited from the Internship programme before.
Applicants must indicate the specific area of placement between Head office in Pietermaritzburg and in twelve District Offices respectively. Applications must state clearly the business unit they are applying for and quote the relevant reference number.
