The Gauteng Department of Community Safety invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Provincial Inspector Vacancies (X 124 Positions). The closing date for applications is the 14th October 2022

SALARY: R211 713.per annum (plus service benefits)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric Certificate plus Traffic Officer`s Diploma and a valid driver’s license.
  • 1-year practical experience in traffic law enforcement.
  • No criminal record or case pending against you.
  • A valid code 08/10 driver’s licence.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Good record and resource management. Good customer relationship management abilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of road traffic and public transport policies and regulations. Completion of law enforcement documents.
  • Knowledge of vehicle inspections and vehicle impoundment.
  • Knowledge of firearms and ammunition Act 60/100.
  • Knowledge of departmental guidelines on overload control and escort duties (Transport Handbook)
  • Ability to work under pressure. Good observation skills.
  • Good driving and negations skills.
  • Sound interpersonal and conflict resolutions skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in at least two of the provincial official languages.
