POSTS: MACHINE REPAIRMAN: MINOR PLANT X9

Salary: R14 116,71 – R19 056,66 P/M

JOB PURPOSE:

To provide minor plant repair and maintenance services to JCPZ to ensure continuous availability of machines and support to enable the effective operations of JCPZ.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Order and receive spares from stores for repairs
Request spare parts as per Job card
Ensure no unnecessary use of spares
Log ad hoc repairs on offline job-card
Reduce maintenance which has wasteful cost implications
Collect faulty equipment from and identify mechanical faults
Repair machinery as per works instruction within daily requirement rate and within set standards and deadlines
Sign off complete job cards for work done and submit to Supervisor
Complete time sheets-daily and weekly
Ensure quality standards are maintained
Conduct proactive maintenance
Report any defects to the supervisor
Return equipment once repairs have been completed and signed off
Report any unsafe acts or accidents immediately
Conduct fields checks on vehicles and equipment; and provide reports to Lead Plant
Liaise with Stores and Supervisor to ensure that all repairs and maintenance is complete based on their requirements and specifications
Liaise with Foreman to ensure that all work is carried out according to plan and specification within the required targets
Assist Workshops Foreman with reports on the state of machines
Liaise with Workshop foreman and Maintenance Planner regarding scheduling of work outputs equipment and machinery
Implement and monitor JCPZ safety, health, environmental and security policies and procedures.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum GRADE 10 or NQF equivalent
Driver’s License code EB or higher (an advantage)
English Proficiency
1-2 years’ experience in a repairs workshop environment
Competency Course (lawnmower, brush cutters)
Computer Courses, Fleet, Admin, Inventory.

Knowledge of mechanics and machinery repairs (slashers, brush-cutters, ride-ons

Knowledge and application of SHEQ standards and requirements
