About the Learnership
The OSS Hastings Learnership is a structured work-based programme that bridges the gap between classroom learning and the professional world. It is important to note that this Learnership is a fixed-term agreement and not a permanent employment contract. The focus is on learning, growth, and practical exposure to prepare participants for sustainable career opportunities in the financial and insurance industry.
Programme Details
- Duration: 12 Months
- Stipend: R12 000
- Industry Focus: Call Centre operations in the Financial & Insurance sector
Working Hours (based on roster):
- Friday to Monday: 9 hours
- Saturdays: 8 hours
- Sundays: 5 hours
- Two weekdays off (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday).
- One day each week dedicated to on-site full qualifications training.
Public Holidays: If scheduled, learners are required to work a full day during South African public holidays (except on UK public holidays).

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the OSS Hastings Learnership, applicants must meet the following:
- Matric (Grade 12) certificate

INSETA Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Aged between 18 – 35 years
- Must not have been on a previous INSETA Learnership
- Unemployed for the last 6 months
