POSTS: LAY COUNCELLORS X33
- Stipend: R 4 448.06
- Duration: 12 Months
REQUIREMENTS:
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Fluent in English and any African language.
- Proof of residence from ward counsellors.
- Candidates should be staying within the catchment area of the clinic to which they are applying
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Computer literacy.
DUTIES:
- Provide HTS services through index tracing at the workplace and community level including pregnant women HIV prevention initiatives including STI TB HCT risk reduction counselling screening and referrals.
- Obtain an informed and written consent for HIV counselling and testing TB and STI screening.
- Perform finger prick of capillary blood for HIV rapid testing.
- To ensure that the onsite services are documented and reconciled daily.
- Submit data captured during Outreach Campaigns as per standard operating procedures.
- Promotion of Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) Lubricant as a form of HIV prevention.
