The Buffalo City Municipality invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Seasonal Lifeguard Vacancies (X10 Posts) in Beaches. The closing date for applications is the 1st November 2024
POSTS: SEASONAL LIFEGUARDS X10 – BEACHES
- Task Grade: 6A
- Salary: R21 131 per month
REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 8
- Surf Proficiency award certificate
- Must be physically fit
- One (1) years’ lifesaving experience
- Surf Proficiency Award certificate
- Valid retest certificate
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Rescues drowning persons
- Patrols City beaches by checking local conditions of beaches
- Renders first aid to the injured by dealing with necessary injuries
- Operates rescue equipment including inflatable boat
- Monitors and enforces compliance with pools and public safety by-laws
- Ensures temperature readings of pool is taken
