The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) is offering exciting Graduate Internship Programmes in various fields for the 2025/2027 intake. This opportunity is designed for South African youth who are eager to gain hands-on workplace experience while earning a monthly stipend of R12,000.00.

CIPC is committed to empowering unemployed graduates by providing valuable exposure in professional environments. If you are a graduate between the ages of 18–35, have never been employed in your field of study, and have not previously participated in an internship, this programme could be your stepping stone to success.

Who Can Apply?

To be considered for the CIPC Graduate Internship Programmes, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be unemployed South African citizens.
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Hold a degree or diploma from a recognised higher education institution.
  • Have no prior full-time work experience in the relevant field.
  • Have never participated in any Internship Programme before.

Available Internship Fields and Requirements

CIPC is offering three targeted internship opportunities in 2025/2026. Below is a breakdown of each programme, including qualifications, requirements, and key duties.

  1. Supply Chain Management Internship

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • National Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or Public Management.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of PFMA, PPPFA, and Supply Chain policies will be advantageous.

Duties:

  • Assist with procurement processes, including requests for quotations and purchase orders.
  • Support supplier database management and compliance checks.
  • Assist in stock management, asset verification, and record keeping.
  • Contribute to reporting on supply chain performance.

 

 

  1. e-Communication Internship

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • National Diploma/Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or Media Studies.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and digital communication skills.
  • Familiarity with online platforms, content management systems, and social media analytics.

Duties:

  • Assist with drafting press releases, newsletters, and internal communications.
  • Support content creation for CIPC’s website and social media platforms.
  • Participate in communication campaigns and stakeholder engagement.
  • Assist in managing media relations and branding initiatives.
  1. Contract Unit Internship

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • National Diploma/Degree in Law, Business Administration, or Supply Chain/Contracts Management.
  • Strong research and document analysis skills.
  • Ability to interpret policies, legal documents, and contracts.

Duties:

  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, and monitoring contracts.
  • Support compliance checks with legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Maintain a central contracts database and filing system.
  • Provide administrative support to the legal and contracts unit.
