According to TUT’s official 2027 General Information for First-Year Enrolment, the application fee for the 2027 academic year is R240.
The fee is compulsory for first-time applicants, is payable once and is non-refundable.
Applicants should use only the payment details supplied by TUT’s official systems or publications and keep their proof of payment.
Do not give money to individuals claiming that they can secure a place at TUT.
TUT has repeatedly warned applicants about application and registration scams and states that academic and accommodation places are not for sale. The University says admission is based on qualification criteria, application requirements, capacity and other legitimate admissions processes.

After submitting an application, do not immediately submit another one because you have not received an answer.
Instead, check your TUT application status.

NSFAS Funding for TUT Students in 2027
Prospective TUT students who need financial assistance should also prepare for the 2027 NSFAS funding application cycle.
Applying to TUT and applying to NSFAS are two separate processes.
A successful TUT application does not automatically mean that NSFAS will fund you, and a positive NSFAS funding assessment does not automatically guarantee that TUT will admit you into your chosen qualification.

NSFAS is not the only possible source of funding.
