If you’re a young hospitality graduate seeking to gain practical workplace experience in one of South Africa’s most exciting entertainment and tourism environments, the uShaka Marine World Hospitality Management Graduate Internship Programme is calling for applications. This 12-month opportunity offers six dynamic graduates a chance to sharpen their skills while working in Durban’s premier marine theme park.

About the Programme

The internship will focus on Food and Beverage (F&B) operations, a core department within Ushaka Marine World. Interns will be immersed in daily activities that ensure guests enjoy a world-class dining and leisure experience. This exposure is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of how the F&B division supports the overall success of the entity.

Through structured mentoring and practical involvement, interns will develop industry-ready competencies that will significantly improve their employability in the hospitality and tourism sector.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
  • A National Diploma in Hospitality Management (NQF Level 6), obtained from a recognised Public University or University of Technology.

This academic foundation will be essential as interns transition into a demanding but rewarding hands-on environment.

Candidates are expected to bring with them a combination of academic knowledge and professional drive. The following skills will be advantageous:
