Minimum Requirements

Applicants will be evaluated on their academic performance, with a focus on 2025 June or final Grade 12 results for school learners, or the latest university results for undergraduate students.

You must meet the following criteria:

  • At least 65% in Mathematics, Physical Science, and English
  • A 60% overall average
  • A university acceptance letter (for first-year applicants)
  • Proof of university registration (for undergraduates)

Applicants can only apply for one discipline, and they must meet the minimum entry requirements of the chosen university.

Application Process

Applications are open to South African citizens only. Applicants will undergo a selection process, which may include:

  • Psychometric assessments
  • Background screening
  • Medical examinations

Successful candidates must also be willing to work at any Tronox Business Unit Operation upon completing their studies.

Preference will be given to applicants from local communities surrounding the Namakwa Sands operations, particularly in the Saldanha and Matzikama Municipalities. This reflects Tronox’s commitment to local economic development and youth empowerment.
