The Bigen Bursary Programme for 2026

The Bigen Bursary Programme for 2026

The Bigen Group — a leading African infrastructure development powerhouse — is once again opening its bursary programme for the 2026 academic year. Designed to fast-track the next generation of South African engineers, this bursary offers crucial financial support, hands-on experience, and a gateway to professional success.

Why the Bigen Bursary Stands Out

  • Full tertiary funding: Bursars receive a fixed award that covers tuition, registration, textbooks, and essential academic costs. Whilst on-campus residence isn’t funded, the comprehensive coverage still significantly reduces student debt.
  • Practical vacation work: Each year, students gain paid industry experience with a four-week vacation work placement, gaining firsthand exposure to real infrastructure.
  • Professional mentorship: The programme includes access to the Bigen Young Professionals Forum and invites to company functions—perfect for networking and career-building.
  • Employment potential: High-performing graduates may receive job offers from Bigen upon completing their degrees.
