DEPARTMENTAL MISSION:
To provide legal advice and manage litigation on behalf of PRASA
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in law/ LLB Degree
EXPERIENCE:
- 15 years post-admission experience with at least 5 years at senior management level.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)
- Provision of legal advice to business.
- Provide strategic legal counsel to senior leadership and ensure legal strategies are aligned with evolving business priorities.
- Identify legal challenges and develop strategies that align with broader PRASA objectives.
- Support the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, including procurement agreements, lease agreements, service contracts, and maintenance agreements etc.
- Monitor legal compliance to legislation, policy, and process.
- Support the GCEO on engagements with strategic stakeholders, e.g., strategic suppliers, National Treasury and other SoE’s e.g., Transnet.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel to ensure smooth legal operations and effective communication.
