REQUIREMENTS:
Provincial Office
A tertiary qualification (NQF level 6 and above) in Demography, Population Studies, Community Development, Development Studies, Information and Technology, Computer Science, Media and Communication, and Law, from accredited academic institutions.
Districts Offices Requirements:
A tertiary qualification (NQF level 6 and above) in Demography, Population Studies, Community Development, Development Studies Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Sociology, and Social Sciences from accredited academic institutions.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Knowledge of Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Batho Pele Principles, Legislative and other mandates relevant to the Department of Social Development.
- Knowledge of research protocols and research ethics.
- Must have knowledge of conducting field research / data collection.
- Must be able to speak the local languages in the areas selected for the research project.
- Good listening, verbal and writing skills (i.e. Communication skills).
- Computer skills.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Conduct face to face interviews at the sites selected for the research project.
- Administer the completion of the research instrument / tool with the research participants.
- Ensure safe keeping of the research data collected
- At all times adhere to the principles of privacy, confidentiality, and anonymity.
- Attend and participate the stakeholder’s engagements and meetings.
- Compile weekly / monthly work programmes and reports.
