The City of Joburg’s PIKITUP invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Various Work Integrated Learning (Wil) Programme Opportunities. The closing date for applications is the 20th October 2024
Johannesburg Pikitup (SOC) Limited is in the process of establishing a database for students who need WIL to complete their studies. This is also in a quest to address the growing demand by a tertiary institution for students to undergo on-the-job exposure, as a pre-requisite to acquire an academic qualification or as a requirement after qualifying to obtain experiential training.
For applicants to be considered for placement on the database the following criteria must be met:
- Must be youth (not older than 35) residing in Johannesburg.
- Must not have participated in a similar programme/s before
- Be a South African citizen
- Applicant must be unemployed
The programme period will not exceed 18 months and students will be invited for interviews as and when the company needs students.
The Work Integrated Learning Programme will be offered in the following categories:
- Finance – Communications and Marketing
- Supply Chain Management – Human Resources
- Audit and Risk – Customer Services
- Waste Management – Business Planning and Reporting
- Landfill – Legal and Compliance
- Occupational Health and Safety
