PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To perform day to day Mechanical Operator tasks and actives as specified according to operational procedures and requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 or N3 with Mathematics and Science
- At least 1 year relevant experience in chemical plant environment with regard to equipment maintenance
- General knowledge of the technical field
HEADLINE KEY RESULT AREAS:
- Prepare work area for an Artisan
- Use correct equipment and loos for purpose of riding, cleaning of fabricated equipment.
- Interpret sketches and specifications.
- Carryout breakdown maintenance
- Dismantle replace repair assemble and fit engineering equipment / components
- Able to work with workshop equipment cranes, Forklift, hoists, slings and job-related tools,
- Ensure quality of work and safety standards are adhered to
- Ensure general Housekeeping and clear-up after works aways complete,
- Prepared to perform Standby duties as scheduled
