The South African Policing Union (SAPU) has announced an exciting opportunity for the dependants of its active members through the SAPU Youth Development Learnership Programme (NQF Level 5). This initiative seeks to empower young people with education, training, and workplace exposure, opening pathways to employability and career development.

SAPU is making a significant impact by allocating 150 learnership positions across five provinces:
- Gauteng: 25 Posts
- Mpumalanga: 25 Posts
- Free State: 40 Posts
- Eastern Cape: 40 Posts
- Northern Cape: 20 Posts
These placements ensure that SAPU dependants from different parts of the country can access equal opportunities to grow academically and professionally.

This ensures that the programme remains focused on uplifting the children and family members of dedicated SAPU members.

Successful applicants will enjoy numerous benefits that make this opportunity both valuable and rewarding:
- A monthly stipend for the full 12-month duration, helping learners cover basic living expenses while focusing on their studies.
- An accredited NQF Level 5 qualification certificate, providing a recognised qualification that can improve employability and career opportunities in various sectors.

Why This Programme Matters
South Africa continues to face challenges with youth unemployment. By focusing on the dependants of its members, SAPU is ensuring that families directly linked to the policing community are supported in their journey toward economic independence. The programme reflects SAPU’s commitment to investing in education, empowering the youth, and uplifting communities.
