Eligibility & Remuneration
Ideal candidates typically hold a National Diploma or BCom (Accounting, Finance, Economics) and are aged between 21–35. No prior work experience is required—positioned as an incubator for fresh talent Interns earn R100 000 per annum, on a fixed‑term contract of about 24 months, fully supporting their journey into professional finance.
Roles & Responsibilities
Diversely structured, interns rotate through the Budget and Treasury Department, where they:
- Support budget preparation, financial statements, and monthly management reporting
- Capture and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy
- Assist senior staff with financial analysis and audits
- Participate in the development of municipal financial policies and procedures
