Internship Responsibilities
Successful candidates will engage in diverse ICT-related functions, including:
- Assisting in troubleshooting computer hardware and software applications.
- Logging, classifying, and resolving ICT incidents and service requests promptly.
- Providing technical support and escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Documenting ICT change requests and release processes.
- Maintaining ICT documentation (both electronic and hard copy).
- Supporting project coordination tasks within the ICT team.
- Assisting in ICT meetings, note-taking, and handling meeting logistics.
- Collaborating with service providers and internal stakeholders.
- Gathering and organising data for ICT audits.
- Updating ICT procedures, manuals, and asset registers.
- Assisting with risk register maintenance and preparation of monthly ICT reports, including budgets and payments.
- Performing additional ICT-related duties as assigned by supervisors.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
- A good understanding of ICT concepts, systems, and operations.
- Ability to work independently, while contributing effectively to a team.
