About the Internship

The Communication Internship Programme is a 24-month fixed-term contract designed to nurture fresh talent in communication, media, and public relations. Successful interns will work alongside the municipality’s communication unit, gaining exposure to community engagement strategies, media liaison activities, branding, and public participation campaigns.

This programme reflects Nkangala District Municipality’s commitment to youth development and skills transfer, ensuring that local graduates are better equipped to enter the competitive job market.

POST TITLE: COMMUNICATION INTERN

  • Reference Number: NDM/CS/45/08/2025
  • Duration: Two years fixed contract
  • Stipend: R63 179.00 per annum

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 (Matric),
  • Degree (NQF Level 7) in Communication Science/BA Communication
  • Applicant must be unemployed, recently qualified and be residing within Nkangala district Municipality

DUTIES:

  • Implementation of the communication strategy and the integrated communication plan
  • Coordinate the development of calender of event
  • Communicate and disseminate information of NDM activities, events, and programmes to relevant stakeholders, internal and external
  • Communicate and disseminate on Council resolutions and policies to stakeholders through various media platforms and channels
