What is the eThekwini Municipality Work Experience Internship Programme?

The Work Experience Internship Programme by eThekwini Municipality is specifically designed for unemployed graduates and students who have completed theoretical studies but require practical experience to qualify fully in their respective fields. Who Can Apply?

  • South African citizens residing within eThekwini Municipality (Durban and surrounding areas).
  • Unemployed graduates with a National Diploma, Degree, or higher.
  • TVET College students who have completed their N6 certificate and require practical work exposure.
  • Candidates from previously disadvantaged backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35, and should not have participated in a similar internship programme within the public sector.
