The Joe Gqabi District Municipality invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their EPWP Semi-Skilled Meter Installer Vacancies (X7 Posts). The closing date for applications is the 31st March 2025
POST DESIGNATION: SEMI-SKILLED METER INSTALLERS (12 Month fixed term EPWP contract)
- Maletswai – 2
- Burgersdorp – 1
- Nqanqarhu – 2
- Tlokoeng – 1
- Sterkspruit – 2
Monthly Stipend: R6498 per month. (all-inclusive amount)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 10 or equivalent qualification
- Experience in water meter installation and maintenance (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Knowledge of water supply systems and basic plumbing principles
- Ability to work with tools and perform manual labour
- Willingness to work in different locations across the district
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installation and replacement of water meters
- Assisting in leak detection and reporting faulty meters
- Ensuring proper meter connections and adherence to installation guidelines
- Working with plumbers and municipal teams to improve water services
