ECD Practitioner Learnership: Occupational Training Opportunities for 2025

 

 

Boland College invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their ECD Practitioner Learnership: Occupational Training Opportunities for 2025. The closing date for applications is the 23rd May 2025

Occupational ECD Practitioner will be rolled out at:

• Caledon Campus
• Paarl (Drakenstein) Campus
• Stellenbosch (Drukkerslaan) Campus

The programme is a QCTO Occupational Certificate for 18 months at NQF level 4. This qualification allows a student to engage with the holistic development of children from birth to four years of age.

STUDENT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

• Matric or NCV level 4 or N4, N5 or N6 Educare
• Students with NCV Education and Development Level 3 (all subjects passed) will be considered if space allows
• No criminal record as police clearance is needed to work in an ECD setting
• Passion for working with young children
• Creativity and innovative thinking
• Good proficiency in English and at least one other official language

The programme will run for block weeks at the College for knowledge and practical training, so students need to be available on a full-time basis (not employed). Students will spend time at an accredited ECD Centre for workplace exposure.

Students will write an EXTERNAL Integrated Exam at the end of the programme to obtain the certificate. Classes will begin at the end of May, so don’t hesitate to contact your nearest campus. Bring a clear, certified copy of your ID and highest qualification.
