Responsibilities

We are building a Merchandise Trainee Talent Club for aspiring retail professionals who are interested in future Trainee Buyer and Trainee Planner opportunities. This talent pool is designed for early-career candidates who are excited by product, customers, fashion, retail and commercial decision-making.

What you could be involved in

As a Merchandise Trainee, you may have the opportunity to:

• Support Buying or Planning teams with day-to-day category activities.
• Learn about product ranges, customer trends and retail trading.
• Assist with analysing sales, stock, margin and product-performance information.
• Support range reviews, product selection, demand forecasting and stock-flow activities.
• Work closely with Buyers, Planners, suppliers and other cross-functional teams.
• Build your understanding of retail commercial processes and develop towards a career in Buying or Merchandise Planning.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have a genuine interest in retail, products, customers and commercial performance.
• Are curious, proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoy working with numbers, data and detail.
• Have strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Can work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Have a relevant qualification in

For Buying : A degree or diploma in :

• Fashion
• Interior Design
• Tesxtiles
• Clothing Managangement
• Consumer Science : Clothing

For Planning / Location Planning : A degree or diploma in:

• Accounting
• Finance
• Statistics
• Economics
• BCOM Supply Chain Management
