Purpose of the Programme
The main goal of the BevCo Apprenticeship Programme is to train and develop individuals in the Millwright trade through structured learning and on-the-job experience. Successful candidates will receive technical and practical exposure that aligns with BevCo’s operational excellence standards, preparing them for future employment in the engineering and maintenance fields.
During the apprenticeship, participants will be required to assist qualified artisans in their daily tasks and complete various plant modules as part of their practical learning experience. They will also need to provide documented evidence of their progress in line with their development plan.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Matric Certificate with a minimum of 50% in Core Mathematics or Physical Science.
- N3 qualification relevant to the trade of Millwright.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, mental alertness, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must possess conceptual thinking skills and show high motivation to learn and grow within the trade.
These requirements ensure that candidates are equipped with the foundational skills necessary to thrive in BevCo’s demanding yet rewarding technical environment.
Output and Accountabilities
As an apprentice, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting qualified artisans in daily plant operations and maintenance tasks.
- Participating actively in practical plant modules and structured learning sessions.
- Maintaining a record of all completed training activities as per the approved development plan.
Through this experience, apprentices will gain practical industry exposure and an in-depth understanding of the manufacturing process, positioning them well for long-term career success.
