POST 1: FOREMAN SEWER

Essential qualifications and experience

• Grade 12 or N3 (NQF4) + Plumbing trade test certificate/Appropriate Learnership NQF 4
• 4 years’ experience in operation and maintenance of sewer reticulation of which 1 year must be at a supervisory level.
• Driver’s License Code EB

POST 2: REGIONAL MAINTENANCE MANAGER

• National Diploma or National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and Government Certificate of Competence (GCC) Factories.
• 5 years appropriate experience of which 2 years must be managerial level

POST 3: MANAGER: WATER LABORATORY

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential qualifications and experience

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry /Applied Chemistry or BTech Analytical Chemistry (NQF 7).
• 6 years of experience in a chemical laboratory where water or environmental analysis are done with at least one (1) year of analytical work supervision/ overseeing/ coaching experience. Working knowledge of ISO 17025.
• Code B drivers’ licence.
• Be eligible to become a Technical Signatory within 24 months.

POST 4: OPERATIONAL MANAGER: PLANNING

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential qualifications and experience

• N6 plus Trade Certificate (Electrical/Mechanic)
• 5 years in repairs and maintenance of mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment of which 2years must be at supervisory level. Knowledge of Basic Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace.
• Computer literate and SAP
• Code EB driver’s licence.

POST 5: METER READER X7

• Matric (NQF 4).
• Must have 2 years periodic Meter Reading experience within the Municipal environment.

POST 6: SENIOR MANAGER: INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNING & ASSET MANAGEMENT

Essential qualifications and experience

• B-Tech / BSc. Civil Engineering (NQF 7)
• Registered for Pr.Eng or Pr. Tech
• 15 years post qualificatons experience in Civil Engineering of which 5 years at a Senior Management level in the Local Government environment
• Experience in developing, implementing policies and procedures, strategy development, business planning, trouble shooting and problem solving
• Excellent knowledge of planning environment and leadership
• Must be analytical and strategic thinker with sound judgement and business acumen
• Service orientated, innovative, assertive and decisive
• Drivers’ Licence Code B
