The African Global Skills Academy (AGSA), in proud partnership with the Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority (CATHSSETA), is opening doors for motivated youth in the Western Cape. This Food & Beverage Services Level 4 Learnership Programme is a golden opportunity to gain accredited qualifications, workplace experience, and a monthly stipend, while setting yourself up for a successful career in hospitality.

About the Programme

This exciting learnership offers participants the chance to earn a National Certificate: Food & Beverage Services Level 4, fully accredited by CATHSSETA. The programme is designed to combine theoretical knowledge with practical, on-the-job training in the food and beverage sector.

  • Start Date: 01 October 2025
  • Province: Western Cape (Cape Town)
  • Stipend: R3,500 per month (based on successful attendance of all scheduled programme activities)

Upon successful completion, learners will not only walk away with a nationally recognised certificate but also valuable work experience that makes them highly employable in the hospitality industry.

Who Can Apply?

AGSA and CATHSSETA are looking for ambitious youth who are ready to commit to this life-changing opportunity. To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens, aged between 18 – 35 years.
  • Reside in the Western Cape, specifically Cape Town.
  • Be unemployed at the time of applying.
  • Hold at least a Matric Certificate or a Grade 11 school report (certified within 6 months).
  • Submit an updated Curriculum Vitae.
  • Provide a certified copy of their ID (dated within 6 months).

Importantly, people with disabilities are encouraged to apply, as AGSA promotes inclusivity and empowerment.
