African Global Skills Academy (AGSA) & Solarpop Bursary Programme for 2026

The African Global Skills Academy (AGSA) and Solarpop have announced that their Bursary Program will start up again for the 2026 school year. This program aims to give young South Africans more power by giving money to deserving students who are getting degrees from recognized colleges and universities across the country.

This bursary program is a great chance for students who are both smart and in need of money. It also fits with AGSA and Solarpop’s goal of improving education, skills, and inclusion in South Africa.

Who Can Apply?

The bursary program is only for young people who meet the following age and demographic requirements:

  • Demographics: African, colored, or Indian (male or female).
  • Age Requirement: You must be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Eligibility for institutions: To be eligible, applicants must already be registered and studying at a recognized South African university or college.

AGSA and Solarpop want to help build the leaders of the future who can help the economy grow, come up with new ideas, and improve society.

Documents Needed

Candidates must prepare and send in the following documents to make sure their application is successful:

  • Updated CV (Curriculum Vitae)

  • Matric Certificate (proof of certification that is less than six months old)
  • Proof that you are registered at a recognized school
  • A recent academic transcript that shows how well you’ve done so far
  • The most recent financial statement from your school
  • Medical Certificate stating the type of disability (only if necessary)

Important: Applications that don’t meet these requirements or are missing any required documents will not be looked at.

Why This Grant Is Important

This bursary is more than just money; it’s a smart way to invest in South Africa’s young people. AGSA and Solarpop are closing gaps in access to education, lowering financial barriers, and creating chances for students who might not otherwise have them by focusing on groups that aren’t well represented and making sure everyone is included.

People who get the bursary will not only get money, but they will also be recognized as part of a network of people who want to make a difference and are dedicated to developing new skills.

How to Apply

Students who are interested should get their papers ready ahead of time to avoid delays at the last minute. People with disabilities who are applying should make sure to include the required medical certificate.

Because there is usually a lot of competition for bursaries, candidates should also make sure their CVs and academic records look good to stand out.

Applications should be emailed to: recruitment@africanglobalacademy.co.za

  • Hello, I am kindly requesting for a bursary offer for next year(2026) I’m going to be doing my post grad ( masters). I survive through help I get from a relative and generous people from church, the relative I have is my aunt and she’s unemployed. My parents left me with her and she will not afford the tuition fees let alone afford the registration fee. Previously I was funded by NSFAS, your help will be much appreciated.

    Kind regards
