Western TVET College (Westcol) is inviting all students who hold an N6 Certificate to register on the college’s official Internship / Work Integrated Learning (WIL) database. This initiative is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical workplace experience, giving graduates the opportunity to gain the hands-on skills they need to succeed in today’s competitive job market.
Who Can Apply?
The programme is open to unemployed youth between the ages of 18 – 35, with preference given to Western TVET College students. Successful applicants will be considered for internship placements in and around the Gauteng Province.
Westcol encourages graduates from both Business Studies and Engineering Studies streams to register.
Business Studies Programmes:
- Management Assistant
- Marketing Management
- Business Management
- Financial Management
- Human Resource Management
- Public Management
- Public Relations
- Hospitality and Catering Services
- Tourism
Engineering Studies Programmes:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
What You Need to Submit
To register on the database, applicants must hand-deliver the following certified and supporting documents:
- Application for projects form (available at Westcol offices)
- Current and updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- 2 x certified colour ID copies (not older than 6 months)
- Certified NCV Level 4 Certificate / Matric certificate (not older than 6 months)
- Certified N4 – N6 certificates (not older than 6 months)
- An affidavit confirming you are not currently enrolled in any SETA-funded programme and have not previously benefited from one
- Bank confirmation letter or proof of banking details
- Tax number (SARS letter)
