Western TVET College (Westcol) is proud to announce exciting Work Based Experience (WBE) opportunities funded by the Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority (FASSET). These opportunities are tailored to help NCV Level 4 graduates gain practical workplace exposure in the Business Studies field, building a solid foundation for future careers.
Who Can Apply?
The programme is specifically designed for graduates who have completed NCV Level 4 in the following Business Studies programmes:
- Finance, Economics and Accounting
- Marketing
- Office Administration
Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years, with preference given to Western TVET College graduates. Placements will be located in and around the Gauteng Province, ensuring accessibility for local youth.
Required Application Documents
To apply successfully, candidates must prepare and submit a full application package. Ensure that all documents are certified within the last six months and neatly organized. The following must be included:
- Application for Projects Form – obtainable at Westcol Corporate Office or on the official website: www.westcol.co.za.
- Current and updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Two certified colour copies of your ID.
- Certified NCV Level 2–4 or Matric Certificate.
- Affidavit confirming that you are not currently enrolled in or previously benefited from any SETA-funded programme.
- Bank confirmation letter or proof of banking details.
- Tax number (SARS letter).
Important: Failure to submit all the required documents will automatically disqualify your application.

- Number of Slots Available: Only 10 placements
- Commencement Date: 01 October 2025
- Closing Date: 12 September 2025 at 11:00 (strict deadline – no late submissions will be accepted)
- Selection Process: Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
