The South African Council for Educators (SACE) has opened applications for its Internship Programme, offering unemployed graduates the opportunity to gain valuable work experience. This 24-month programme is a chance for young South Africans to build their professional skills while contributing to the vital work of SACE.
The programme is run in partnership with the ETDP-SETA and is specifically designed for graduates who are unemployed, have not yet gained formal work experience, and have never participated in an internship before. Applicants must also be 35 years of age or younger.
Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend based on their qualification level:
- NQF Level 6 graduates: R5,000 per month
- NQF Level 8 graduates: R7,500 per month
Internship Opportunities Available
SACE is currently offering internships in the following fields:
- Communication Intern – SACE Head Office (Centurion)
- Qualification: Honour’s Degree in Digital Communications, Media Studies, Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations (NQF Level 8).

- Registration Intern – SACE Limpopo Office (Polokwane)
- Qualification: Diploma in Management Assistant, Office Management, or Public Management (NQF Level 6).

These positions fall under Employment Equity Posts, and SACE’s Employment Equity Policy will apply, encouraging applications from designated groups.

Interested graduates must complete the SACE Employment Application Form, available on the SACE website (www.sace.org.za). Applications must be accompanied by:
- A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Certified copies of ID and qualifications (not older than 6 months).
- Proof of SAQA evaluation certificate (for foreign qualifications).
