The African Volunteers Service International (AVSI), in partnership with the Media, Information, and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority (MICT SETA), is offering an exciting Marketing Management Internship Programme under the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) TVET Programme. This initiative is tailored for aspiring marketers who hold an N6 qualification in Marketing Management and are seeking practical experience to bridge the gap between academic learning and the professional workplace.

This 12-month programme presents a unique opportunity for graduates to gain valuable workplace skills, expand their professional networks, and boost their employability within the competitive marketing industry.

Programme Overview

The AVSI Marketing Management Internship is specifically designed for TVET college graduates who have completed the theoretical component of their studies but still require workplace exposure to complete their qualification. The internship blends hands-on training with mentorship from experienced professionals in the marketing and communications sector.

Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend of R3,800 to support them throughout the programme, ensuring they can focus on gaining the experience they need without financial strain.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

As a Marketing Management intern, participants can expect to be involved in a variety of industry-related tasks, such as:

  • Assisting in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Conducting market research and gathering customer insights.
  • Managing social media platforms and creating engaging content.
  • Supporting branding initiatives and promotional events.
  • Assisting with administrative duties related to marketing projects.

Through these tasks, interns will gain a deeper understanding of how marketing strategies are developed and implemented in real-world scenarios.

  • Hold an N6 in Marketing Management from a recognised TVET college.
