What is the GT26 Graduate Training Programme?
The Toyota GT26 Graduate Training Programme is a 24-month structured development initiative aimed at recent university graduates. It combines classroom-based training with hands-on experience across multiple departments at Toyota’s world-class facilities, primarily based in Prospecton, Durban.
This flagship programme provides graduates with exposure to real business challenges, cutting-edge technologies, and professional mentorship. It is a full-time programme offering a stipend, extensive career support, and the opportunity to work alongside seasoned industry professionals.
WHO CAN APPLY?
The GT26 Programme is tailored for candidates with degrees in key disciplines, including but not limited to:
- Engineering: Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics and Electrical (light current only)
- Business Management, Accounting, Human Resources
- IT, Computer Science, Data Science (Statistics or Mathematics)
- Marketing – Supply Chain Management, Economics
- Final year aggregate 65% minimum (essential)
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be South African citizens aged between 18 and 35
- Have a completed Bachelor’s Degree (Honours or Postgraduate preferred but not essential)
- Demonstrate strong academic performance and leadership potential
- Have excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
