In a powerful stride toward addressing youth unemployment and empowering communities with practical skills, West Coast TVET College, in partnership with the National Skills Fund (NSF), is offering a robust Learnership Programme across its various campuses in 2025. This initiative is set to equip a total of 100 students with industry-relevant training and certifications across trades and business disciplines—laying the foundation for brighter, employable futures.

What is the Learnership Programme All About?

This NSF-funded Learnership Programme is designed to provide unemployed youth with access to quality occupational training, workplace exposure, and nationally recognized qualifications. The programme integrates theoretical classroom instruction with structured practical experience, ensuring learners develop both academic knowledge and hands-on expertise.

 

 

Learnership Opportunities by Campus

Here’s a breakdown of the exciting opportunities available:

Atlantis Campus

  • Bricklaying NQF Level 3 Learnership (X30 Students)
    Perfect for individuals interested in the building and construction industry, this programme equips learners with bricklaying techniques and foundational construction site skills.
  • CBMT Bricklayer Phase 1 & 2 (X10 Students)
    A continuation for those aiming to master trade-tested artisan-level competencies.
  • CBMT Fitter and Turner Phase 1 & 2 (X10 Students)
    This course focuses on mechanical fitting and turning—ideal for future artisans in manufacturing or plant maintenance.

Malmesbury Campus

  • ICB Junior Bookkeeping (X10 Students)
    Provides foundational financial management training, ideal for future accountants, bookkeepers, or financial clerks.
  • International Computer Driver’s License (ICDL) (X10 Students)
    Globally recognized digital literacy training covering essential computer skills for today’s job market.

Vredenburg Campus

  • CBMT Boilermaker Phase 1 & 2 (X10 Students)
