The WENOSA Scholarship Programme: An Overview
The WENOSA Scholarship Programme is designed to support female students in their final year of postgraduate studies (Honours, Master’s, or Doctoral degrees) in fields where women are traditionally underrepresented. These fields include:

- Gender Studies
- Sciences

For the 2026 academic year, 15 scholarships will be awarded, each valued at R50,000. This funding is intended to cover tuition fees and study materials, alleviating financial burdens and enabling recipients to focus on their academic pursuits.

Application Process
Prospective applicants are required to submit their applications online through the WENOSA Scholarship Application portal. The application must include:

- A motivational letter (500 to 700 words) outlining commitment to women’s issues, career goals, and reasons for applying.
- Two recommendation letters.
- A comprehensive curriculum vitae.
- Proof of household income (recent payslips, affidavit if unemployed, or SASSA confirmation letter if receiving a social grant).
The deadline for applications is 9 June 2025. Late submissions will not be considered, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the application timeline.

- Educational Advancement: Facilitating the admission of 50% of Lefontse Girls High’s bachelor pass learners into higher education, with scholarships for top performers.
