POST 1: LECTURER (PL1): UTILITIES STUDIES

POST DESCRIPTION:

• NC(V) Life Skills and Computer Skills Level 2-4

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• A National Senior Certificate (Matric);
• National Diploma/Degree in Mathematics, or equivalent;
• TVET Education Lecturing Qualification.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of zero to one (0-1) years’ experience in the TVET Sector;
• Registered with South African Council for Educators (SACE);
• Moderator and Assessor certificate will be an added advantage;
• Driver’s licence is an added advantage.

POSITIONS:  LECTURERS – PL1 (X2 POSTS)

SALARY: R 244, 884 — R 392, 136 PER ANNUM (INCLUDING BENEFITS)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant three (3) year Qualification specific to the above fields (Diploma or Degree).
• Minimum (2) years relevant Teaching / Training Experience.
• Teacher’s Qualification.
• Sound knowledge of theory and practical’s relevant to the specific field being applied for.
• Practical experience in specific aspects of the subject field as well as the ability to do practical training.
• Computer Literacy.
• Registered Assessor and Moderator (Recommendation).
• Valid Driver’s Licence (Recommendation).
• Registered with SACE.

 

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Lecturing the subjects included in the respective programmes.
• Compliance with the Job Description of a Post Level 1 Educator/Lecturer.
• Assist the Programme Manager/Senior Lecturer with academic matters to meet deadlines and compile Reports.
• Assessment of students’ performance.
• Monitor Attendance Registers and follow up on absenteeism.
• Creating an environment conductive for learning and maintaining classroom discipline.
