About the Programme
The RBCT Plant & Rail Trainee Programme is a full-year structured training and workplace learning opportunity. Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the RBCT Plant & Rail Trainee Programme, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Matric or NTC3 (National Technical Certificate Level 3)
- Age: Must be 21 years or older
Behavioural and Physical Attributes
The nature of the work requires candidates with the right mindset, attitude, and physical fitness. Applicants must:
- Be physically fit and able to operate heavy industrial equipment.
- Have the ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
- Not be afraid of heights.
- Be willing to work 12-hour shifts (06h00–18h00 and 18h00–06h00).
- Be prepared to work in all weather conditions, including sun, rain, wind, and high humidity.
- Show a positive attitude towards work and supervision.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
