AREA OF SPEACIALIZATION:
Providing Quality Control activities for existing and potential Eskom contracts and ensuring that QC activities are integrated into all tenders and contracts.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- National Diploma in Engineering
- Quality Inspections Management or Quality Management system experience in electricity industry 3 years
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to interact on various levels.
- Utilises diplomacy and tact in influencing others (listens well)
- Identifies common ground and uses this to pursue win-win solutions.
- Articulate quality standards for team/section
- Continuously challenges and re-evaluates how things are done.

KNOWLEDGE:
- Sound knowledge of Quality Control and related elements.
- Benchmarks effectively (displays awareness of and an ability to introduce and implement new technologies where appropriate)
- Understanding and knowledge of Quality and other Management Systems as applicable to the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supplier Quality Specification and all related documentation
- Providing input to the development of Contract Quality Plans (CQPs) and inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Providing inspection services for all stages of Manufacturing, Shipping & Transportation, Preservation, Site works, Commissioning, Outages, Maintenance, Operation, Data Books and Handover
- Supplier Quality Performance reporting
