Joburg Metro Bus invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Permanent Mobile Driver Vacancies (X9 Posts). The closing date for applications is the 26th February 2024

POSTS: MOBILE DRIVERS X9

• Department: Corporate Services — Physical Security & Route Inspection
• Branch: Physical Security & Route Inspection
• Designation: Mobile Driver
• Remuneration: B2
• Location: Metrobus

Job Purpose: Transport Route Inspectors to inspect buses on daily basis.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Code 8 /EB Driver’s License or Code C1.
• 5 years ‘minimum experience working as a driver.
• Should be willing to work flexi -hours.
• Knowledge of Metrobus ‘Routes will be an added advantage.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

To operate the vehicle in a professional manner.

• Ensuring that the vehicle is clean, well maintained and in a roadworthy condition.
• Daily pre- trip inspection of the Vehicle by checking brakes, lights and any damages on the vehicle.

Ensure that he /she avails himself / herself for the shift at the determined time.

• To report timeously for the shift to perform the pre-check inspection and other administrative duties.

To operate the vehicle in a professional manner to promote the image of the company.

• To drive the vehicle with due respect and being courteous to other road-users.

To be presentable by wearing clean and neat uniform.
